My name is Naomi, and I am passionate about walking alongside people as they navigate difficult seasons, heal from past experiences, and find greater hope. I especially enjoy working with individuals experiencing trauma, anxiety, relationship struggles, and life transitions. I believe you are more than the challenges you are facing, and I want counseling to be a place where you feel safe, heard, and understood.
As a counselor trained in EMDR, I enjoy helping clients work through experiences that continue to affect their thoughts, emotions, relationships, and daily lives. My faith is also an important part of who I am, and I value the opportunity to integrate faith into counseling when it is meaningful to the client. My background as an elementary educator has also shaped my passion for working with children, parents, and families and has taught me the importance of creating a supportive environment where people feel valued and understood.
I am currently completing my master’s in clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. I previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Bethel University and spent several years working in education. I have completed EMDR Basic Training and am continuing to develop my skills through consultation and clinical experience.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children. I love cheering on my kids at their sporting events, taking walks with our dog, and making memories together outdoors.
Naomi is an intern at NWFC and is under supervision by Mark Schmoyer, LPCC.
