Hi, my name is Naomi Holte, and I am a master’s level counseling intern pursuing a master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from Bethel University and have always had a passion for helping others navigate life’s challenges and discover hope in difficult seasons.
My counseling approach incorporates evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s unique needs. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). As a Christian counselor, I value integrating faith into the counseling process when desired by the client. My goal is to provide safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental environment where you feel heard, understood, and supported.
I especially enjoy working with individuals and couples who have experienced betrayal trauma, as well as those navigating trauma-related concerns. I am passionate about helping clients process painful experiences, find healing, and move toward greater hope and restoration.
The foundation of my counseling philosophy comes from 2 Corinthians 1:3-4, which reminds us that God comforts us in our struggles so that we can extend that same comfort to others. I believe healing, growth, and restoration are possible, and it is a privilege to walk alongside individuals and couples as they pursue these goals.
Outside of counseling, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our three children. I love cheering on my kids at their sporting events, taking walks with our dog, and making memories together outdoors.
Naomi is an intern at NWFC and is under supervision by Mark Schmoyer, LPCC.
