Hi, I’m J. Ervin Miller, and I am honored to walk alongside individuals and couples on their journey toward healing, growth, and hope. As a former police officer, correctional officer, and probation officer with 24 years of experience, I bring a unique understanding of trauma, high-stress environments, and the challenges associated with difficult life experiences. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Walden University and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Counseling.
I have a particular interest in working with individuals who have experienced traumatic or high-stress environments, including first responders, law enforcement, corrections professionals, and others who may struggle with the lasting impact of difficult experiences. I strive to create a safe, nonjudgmental environment where clients can explore difficult experiences and develop healthier ways of coping.
Whether you are struggling with past trauma, current life challenges, or relationship difficulties, therapy can provide an opportunity to gain perspective and create meaningful change. My goal is to meet each client where they are and work together toward greater stability, confidence, and overall well-being.
Ervin is an independent contractor at NWFC and is under supervision by Dan Schmoyer, MA, LPCC.
