Northwest Family Counseling has contracts with several of Minnesota’s largest health insurance providers. We are continually applying for and adding new contracts so check with us if you do not see your specific insurance company listed below.

While we are in-network with several companies we can also provide services for those who have an insurance company we do not currently have a contract with as an out-of-network provider. Some companies will reimburse their members for out-of-network costs but will do so at a reduced amount. If we are out-of-network we can provide you with the appropriate paperwork to submit the claim to your insurance company for reimbursement, reducing the out-of-pocket cost for you as the client.

It is very important for you to confirm your benefits plan with your insurance company. Some plans allow you to see any mental health professional while others require the professional to be on their approved list. Your insurance provider may have restrictions about the frequency or a maximum number of sessions; it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with these types of requirements.

We will assist you in confirming your benefits but we cannot guarantee the accuracy of the information we receive. It is not uncommon to receive one interpretation of your benefits from an insurance representative over the phone and receive a different interpretation when we actually submit the sessions for reimbursement.

Please see the list of insurance providers we are in-network with below and click on each image to go to their website to verify coverage or call the number on the back of your card.

For those who choose not to use their insurance we offer a sliding-fee scale based on income. For a sliding-fee scale list please contact us via phone, email, or through the “Contact Us” page and we will get in touch with you as soon as possible to discuss your rate.

There are benefits to using insurance and there are also drawbacks. In the same way, there are benefits to paying out-of-pocket as well as drawbacks. To discuss each option please contact us so we can help you determine which payment method is best for you and your situation.
