Mark Schmoyer, MS, LPCC

Call 763.220.2312 to set up a free 30 min consult to see if we are a good fit for each other!

I’m Mark Schmoyer, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and I enjoy working with adolescents, teenagers, and adults through their various difficulties and adjustments. In my time as a therapist, I have found great joy in helping people work through the different problems and concerns they face. Some of my areas of interest are adolescent and teenage males, young adults, and individuals struggling with suicidal ideation and thoughts. Through my work, I understand the difficulty of having teenagers and adolescents “buy into” therapy and I focus on helping them find value in the therapy process and working with them during an important time in their life.My approach includes a Trauma Informed Care perspective, where past stressful experiences are treated with sensitivity and compassion in order to fully understand the unique place each client may be.  Additionally, I incorporate Biblical and spiritual components into my work and truly believe in the value of establishing safety, care, and collaboration with every person.

I obtained my Master’s of Science in Counseling and a Certificate of Advanced Specialization in Counseling from Cairn University, as well as a Bachelor’s of Science in Biblical Studies. My work experience includes a college counseling center, private practice, in-home therapy, and community mental health centers. I am also a BBHT approved supervisor for LPCC students/interns who need supervision during their education and/or pursuing their license.

I would love to meet to meet with you and see if we would be a good fit together!
