My name is Jaressa Johnson, and I am passionate about supporting individuals, couples, and families as they pursue healing, restoration, and lasting peace.
I believe relationships are living, dynamic systems that continuously evolve—and with that evolution comes both challenge and opportunity. My goal is to help create a therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered, supported, and safe to explore growth. In this space, individuals, couples, and families can deepen their mutual understanding, commitment, grace, and connection.
I have experience working with a variety of concerns, including high-risk adolescent behaviors, trauma, relational and family issues, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, and emotional and behavioral disorders. I enjoy working with clients across the lifespan, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. My approach is collaborative, rooted in empathy, and guided by unconditional positive regard for each client I serve.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Ministry from the University of Northwestern–St. Paul, MN, and a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. I currently provide therapy under the supervision of Dan Schmoyer, MA, M.Ed., LSC, LPCC, as I work toward independent licensure.
