Hello! My name is Caitlin Lorsung and I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. I enjoy helping individuals and families work towards healing and wholeness. With nearly ten years of experience, I work hard to provide a comfortable space where someone can be open and grow with grace, even in the midst of difficulty. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy which means I see value in understanding and supporting one’s personal beliefs, faith and cultural experiences in treatment.
I enjoy working with families and individuals, from adolescent to adult. I specialize in treating a variety of concerns including depression, anxiety, stress management, family relationship concerns, adjustment to significant life events (including managing a major medical event or chronic condition, for self or a loved one) and issues related to grief and loss, emotional intensity, self-esteem, communication and behavior activation.
I graduated from Bethel University with a masters in counseling and attended Crown College for my undergraduate degree. I spent more than 5 years as a member of an adherent DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy) team working with adults and families. I am also trained in cognitive behavior therapy (CBT) and have experience with prolonged exposure and response prevention for obsessive and compulsive behavior. I am also a Board Approved Supervisor for LPCC.
If you are in the process of finding care for yourself or a loved one but would like more information please reach out for a free consultation! I would be happy to set up a brief meeting or phone call to help you get started and answer any questions you might have.
